Som specialpedagog i tidiga \u00e5r jobbar jag med st\u00f6dundervisning f\u00f6r att l\u00e4sning och skrivning \u00e4r en huvudsak. Eller f\u00f6r att citera Sara Bruuns sommarprat \u201dAtt l\u00e4ra sig l\u00e4sa \u00e4r en demokratisk r\u00e4ttighet!\u201d Vi har en l\u00e4roplan som betonar demokrati. Det \u00e4r fint men klingar s\u00e5d\u00e4r om vi inte lyckas l\u00e4ra eleverna att l\u00e4sa. Som medborgare b\u00f6r man rustas med l\u00e4sf\u00e4rdighet f\u00f6r att kunna navigera i samh\u00e4llet. Liksom att l\u00e4ra sig simma kr\u00e4vs en viss intensitet i tr\u00e4ningen f\u00f6r \u00f6nskad effekt. Hoppar vi \u00f6ver st\u00f6det g\u00e5r det som det g\u00e5r. \u00c4nd\u00e5 saknas det st\u00f6d. Det \u00e4r en skam och en riktig praktvurpa inom svensk skola. Hur kan vi p\u00e5 detta s\u00e4tt missa sj\u00e4lva k\u00e4rnverksamheten? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Skolan \u00e4r full av mots\u00e4gelsefulla krav. Som specialpedagog st\u00e4lls det hela p\u00e5 sin spets. D\u00e5 jag kom till en skola saknades allt st\u00f6d till elever. De ordinarie l\u00e4rarna hade inga halvklasser med tid f\u00f6r st\u00f6d. Ingen l\u00e4xl\u00e4sning l\u00e5g fast p\u00e5 schemat. Inte ens speciall\u00e4raren som jobbade deltid hade tid f\u00f6r att ge st\u00f6d. Ist\u00e4llet var hen upptagen med en v\u00e4xande h\u00f6g utredningar. Inte konstigt att resultaten dalade. Det var stort fokus p\u00e5 diagnoser och problem. Kanske inte s\u00e5 konstigt d\u00e5 skolan haft 6 rektorer p\u00e5 5 \u00e5r. Skolinspektionen hems\u00f6kte oss. Vad skulle vi g\u00f6ra? Jag var d\u00e5 bitr\u00e4dande rektor och specialpedagog 50\/50. Vi valde att prioritera st\u00f6d framf\u00f6r utredning och jag uppfattade att SI f\u00f6rstod resonemanget. D\u00e5 vi kommer n\u00e4ra eleverna kan vi snart f\u00f6rst\u00e5 deras behov och f\u00e5r ocks\u00e5 l\u00e4ttare att skriva b\u00e5de utredningar och \u00e5tg\u00e4rdsprogram. Men eleverna g\u00e5r f\u00f6rst. Vi har numera Tv\u00e5l\u00e4rarsystem i f\u00f6rskoleklassen f\u00f6r att s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla st\u00f6d fr\u00e5n dag 1. F\u00f6rv\u00e4ntar vi oss att elever ska lyckas f\u00f6ruts\u00e4tter det god undervisning och st\u00f6d. N\u00e4r de k\u00e4nner de att de lyckas l\u00e4ra minskar konflikter och beteendeproblem. Med h\u00f6ga f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntningar OCH st\u00f6d blir elever st\u00e4rkta i sin sj\u00e4lvk\u00e4nsla.Tog vi tag i det fr\u00e5n b\u00f6rjan kunde hela skolan lyftas. Idag kommer elever ist\u00e4llet till mellanstadiet utan att ha l\u00e4rt sig att l\u00e4sa ordentligt p\u00e5 m\u00e5nga skolor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det \u00e4r viktigt att ellevh\u00e4lsoteam och trygghetsteam jobbar b\u00e5de \u00e5tg\u00e4rdande och f\u00f6rebyggande. N\u00e4r skolan r\u00e5kat ut f\u00f6r anm\u00e4lningar till inspektionen s\u00e5 \u00e4r det dock l\u00e4tt h\u00e4nt att kravet p\u00e5 dokumentation \u00f6kar medan st\u00f6det kan f\u00e5 stryka p\u00e5 foten. H\u00e4r kan specialpedagog\/speciall\u00e4rare och l\u00e4rare samarbeta f\u00f6r att h\u00f6ja kompetensen att variera undervisningen. Elever ska ocks\u00e5 ha st\u00f6d. G\u00e4rna b\u00e5de av ordinarie l\u00e4rare i halvklass men ocks\u00e5 av speciall\u00e4rare\/specpedagog. Tillsammans beh\u00f6ver vi utreda elevers behov. Framg\u00e5ngsrika skolor k\u00e4nnetecknas av samarbete och samsyn  (Dyson &amp; Millward 2000, Folkesson et al 2004). Medan vi skriver sida upp och sida ned om elevernas behov s\u00e5 faller eleverna. Det \u00e4r synd och skam! Vi s\u00e4tter d\u00e5 byr\u00e5kratin f\u00f6re elevernas utveckling. Utredningar i all \u00e4ra. Den kan g\u00f6ra mycket f\u00f6r att komma tillr\u00e4tta med problem. Men f\u00e5r vi inte fart p\u00e5 st\u00f6det s\u00e5 kommer eleverna inte att l\u00e4ra sig l\u00e4sa. Ett v\u00e4lorganiserat fritids kan g\u00f6ra mycket f\u00f6r att bidra b\u00e5de till kunskapsutveckling, f\u00f6rm\u00e5gan att samarbeta men \u00e4ven till l\u00e4sutveckling. Tillsammans analyserar vi i kollegiet v\u00e5ra behov och skapar samsyn kring eleverna. F\u00f6r att elever ska lyckas kr\u00e4vs h\u00f6ga f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntningar och st\u00f6d. Precis samma f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande g\u00e4ller f\u00f6r l\u00e4rark\u00e5ren. De beh\u00f6ver b\u00e5de h\u00f6ga f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntningar men ocks\u00e5 st\u00f6d f\u00f6r att lyckas.
