Det var tydligt att inneh\u00e5llet i den hade stor dragningskraft d\u00e5 vi l\u00e4ste den framl\u00e4nges och bakl\u00e4nges i flera \u00e5r. Den inneh\u00e5ller sp\u00e4nnande kartor och historier om allt man kan vilja veta om mystiska platser<strong>, <\/strong>farliga djur, guld och \u00e4delstenar och djuphavsgravar bland annat. N\u00e4r jag idag st\u00f6ttar barn i att l\u00e4ra sig l\u00e4sa har den \u00e5ter kommit till anv\u00e4ndning. Som om inneh\u00e5llet inte spelade n\u00e5gon roll. Men vi f\u00e5r inte gl\u00f6mma att inneh\u00e5llet egentligen \u00e4r m\u00e5let och meningen med hela &#8221;bokstavsgrejen&#8221;. Att f\u00e5 reda p\u00e5 saker och ting om verkligheten och v\u00e5r v\u00e4rld har en stor dragningskraft p\u00e5 barnen. Det beh\u00f6ver inte vara s\u00e5 avancerat som i den h\u00e4r atlasen som nog \u00e4r skriven med tanke p\u00e5 h\u00f6gl\u00e4sning. I nyb\u00f6rjarb\u00f6ckerna b\u00f6r det vara ett enkelt spr\u00e5k som \u00e4nd\u00e5 lyckas ber\u00f6ra, locka till skratt eller ge utrymme f\u00f6r samtal. Det \u00e4r i samtalet kring boken som l\u00e4sningen v\u00e4xer till n\u00e5got st\u00f6rre \u00e4n bara l\u00e4sning. Det blir ett forum f\u00f6r att uppt\u00e4cka v\u00e4rlden tillsammans. I v\u00e5r k\u00e4llare p\u00e5 kyrkskolan har jag hittat ett flertal av hans historier som trots enkla ord (som barnen f\u00f6rm\u00e5r l\u00e4sa) \u00e4nd\u00e5 kan ber\u00e4tta en historia som lockar till igenk\u00e4nning, samtal och funderingar. En s\u00e4rskild krydda hos Stark \u00e4r hans humor. Att kunna skratta tillsammans \u00e4r fint, s\u00e4rskilt n\u00e4r det kommer lite som en \u00f6verraskning.<\/p>\n<p>I k\u00e4llaren har jag ocks\u00e5 hittat flera sm\u00e5b\u00f6cker om djur som jag g\u00e4rna l\u00e4ser tillsammans med barnen. Sm\u00e5 barn \u00e4lskar djur. Djurens liv och leverne aktualiserar b\u00e5de naturen som de ofta intresserar sig f\u00f6r, men ocks\u00e5 hur vi lever tillsammans med djur. Kanh\u00e4nda kan djurens liv ocks\u00e5 symbolisera hur vi lever tillsammans med varandra. S\u00e5 f\u00f6rvandlas historien om en mus som g\u00e5tt vilse till en existentiell metafor om frihet och heml\u00e4ngtan, om faror och trygghet.<\/p>\n<p>Att l\u00e4ra elever att l\u00e4sa handlar om att snart finna en v\u00e4g att uppt\u00e4cka inneh\u00e5llets dragningskraft. N\u00e5gra bokst\u00e4ver beh\u00f6ver man ju l\u00e4ra sig f\u00f6rst f\u00f6rst\u00e5s men utan ett inneh\u00e5ll som betyder n\u00e5got f\u00f6r eleven kan vi inte r\u00e4kna med mycket till l\u00e4slust. H\u00f6gl\u00e4sningens centrala plats f\u00f6r att locka till l\u00e4sning och l\u00e4sintresse kan d\u00e4rf\u00f6r inte nog betonas. Det \u00e4r d\u00e4r vi f\u00f6rst finner den gemensamma v\u00e4rlden i samtalet kring texten. Det \u00e4r inte f\u00f6r inte som man i m\u00e4nniskans utveckling haft heliga skrifter att l\u00e4sa och tolka tillsammans.
