Att det gick hundra ett\u00f6res &#8221;hartollar&#8221; eller tio tio\u00f6res Bugg p\u00e5 en krona visste jag redan innan jag b\u00f6rjade skolan. Eller att man fick fyra kronor tillbaka p\u00e5 en tia om mj\u00f6lken kostade sex kronor. Men idag har plastkorten tagit \u00f6ver och det inneb\u00e4r att m\u00e5nga barn inte bekantar sig med konkreta exempel p\u00e5 matematik som vi gjorde p\u00e5 min tid. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r \u00e4r jag \u00f6vertygad om att tillf\u00e4llen att tr\u00e4na p\u00e5 och anv\u00e4nda tal och konkret material f\u00f6r f\u00e4rdighetstr\u00e4ning m\u00e5ste \u00f6ka bland barnen.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e5ledes blev jag s\u00e4rskilt lycklig idag d\u00e5 jag p\u00e5 skolg\u00e5rden tr\u00e4ffade barn i \u00e5rskurs 1 som var i full f\u00e4rd med att l\u00f6sa diverse matematiska uppdrag i utemilj\u00f6n. Reu Bard hade halvklass i solen och delade ut utmaningar som gnuggade matematiska begrepp. H\u00e4mta ett udda antal pinnar. H\u00e4mta ett j\u00e4mnt antal l\u00f6v osv. Nu fick barnen b\u00e5de \u00f6va p\u00e5 att l\u00e4sa p\u00e5 korten men \u00e4ven att diskutera och reda ut betydelsen av olika begrepp som udda, j\u00e4mnt, dubbelt eller h\u00e4lften etc.<span style=\"caret-color: #555555; color: #555555; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: auto; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.301961); -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: #ffffff; text-decoration: none; display: inline !important; float: none;\"> Att arbeta med praktiskt material inom undervisningen \u00e4r ett s\u00e4tt att g\u00f6ra matematiken verklig. I Piag\u00e9ts begreppsv\u00e4rld omtalas detta som ett s\u00e4tt att ge barn \u201dinre bilder\u201d av matematiska begrepp (Malmer 2010).
