D\u00e5 jag var p\u00e5 universitetet h\u00e4rom dagen jobbade mina kollegor vidare med temat genom att ta upp fj\u00e4rilens livscykel som ju ocks\u00e5 passar bra under samma hatt. Vi har pratat en del om f\u00e5glar och flyttf\u00e5glar. Men det \u00e4r ju insekternas \u00e5terkomst som lockar hit s\u00e5 mycket f\u00e5glar s\u00e5 h\u00e4r \u00e5rs. I detta arbete jobbade de enskilt. D\u00e4refter fick de gestalta en fj\u00e4ril efter modell kyrkf\u00f6nster. De ber\u00e4ttade om f\u00f6rpuppning och f\u00f6rvandling, om antenner och om att fj\u00e4rilen har en snabel som den suger nektar med och som den rullar ihop. Att fj\u00e4rilen \u00e4r en insekt kunde jag ocks\u00e5 l\u00e4ra mig genom att l\u00e4sa vad de skrivit. Det st\u00e4rker elevernas f\u00f6rm\u00e5ga att f\u00f6rst\u00e5 men \u00e4ven deras m\u00f6jligheter att ber\u00e4tta. F\u00f6r barn med svenska som andraspr\u00e5k \u00e4r det viktigt och h\u00e4r lyfter man s\u00e4rskilt fram att bild \u00e4r bra med koppling till text f\u00f6r att skapa den f\u00f6rf\u00f6rst\u00e5else som kr\u00e4vs f\u00f6r att kunna l\u00e4sa och l\u00e4ra sig begrepp (Gibbons 2006). Jag t\u00e4nker i det h\u00e4r sammanhanget p\u00e5 Dewey (2004) som p\u00e5talar att barns intresse \u00e4r ett tecken p\u00e5 spirande kunskap. H\u00e4r ger f\u00f6rkunskaper barnen en ing\u00e5ng att, genom sin tidigare kunskap, k\u00e4nna motivation att jobba vidare. Det varierade arbetss\u00e4ttet i det h\u00e4r momentet f\u00e5r mig dessutom att t\u00e4nka p\u00e5 de gamla l\u00e4roplanerna fr\u00e5n 60-talet d\u00e4r en sorts metod i fr\u00e5ga om pedagogisk psykologi ingick.
