Det \u00e4r bra p\u00e5 flera s\u00e4tt. D\u00e5 kan man f\u00e5 hj\u00e4lp att se verksamheten med &#8221;friska&#8221; \u00f6gon och dessutom f\u00e5 tillf\u00e4lle och inspiration att utveckla nya \u00f6vningar. En av studenterna ska g\u00f6ra en m\u00e4t\u00f6vning i mindre grupper fram\u00f6ver och vi funderar p\u00e5 att \u00e4ven ta upp begreppet omkrets. F\u00f6r att barnen ska vara med p\u00e5 banan n\u00e4r det bli dags f\u00f6r studenten gjorde jag idag en introduktion av begreppet.<\/p>\n<p>I samlingen presenterade jag ordet och barnen fick gissa vad det kunde betyda. D\u00e4refter f\u00f6rklarade jag och sedan gjorde vi ett experiment. Hur m\u00e5nga kaplastavar skulle det beh\u00f6vas f\u00f6r att l\u00e4gga mattans omkrets tro? Barnen fick gissa och vi skrev upp n\u00e5gra olika f\u00f6rslag\/uppskattningar p\u00e5 tavlan. Sedan lade jag ned tre stavar och vi r\u00e4knade h\u00f6gt tillsammans. D\u00e4refter fick barnen l\u00e4gga tre stavar var, ett efter ett, och hela tiden r\u00e4knade vi h\u00f6gt. Det blev 79 stavar. Att r\u00e4kna s\u00e5 l\u00e5ngt \u00e4r stort i F-klassen. Det var \u00a0fler \u00e4n vad vi uppskattat. S\u00e5 repeterade vi ordet OMKRETS i talk\u00f6r.<\/p>\n<p>Varf\u00f6r? P\u00e5 det h\u00e4r s\u00e4ttet introducerar vi m\u00e4tning d\u00e5 stavarna f\u00f6reb\u00e5dar den roll som m\u00e5ttenheter har. Vi passar ocks\u00e5 p\u00e5 att r\u00e4kna med konkret material, n\u00e5got som gynnar barnens taluppfattning och vi smakar p\u00e5 ett korrekt matematiskt spr\u00e5k (Kruse 1914, Malmer 1999). \u00a0Ett korrekt matematiskt spr\u00e5k \u00e4r centralt f\u00f6r att l\u00e4ra matematik och betonas \u00e4ven inom inom andraspr\u00e5ksundervisning d\u00e4r det \u00e4r viktigt att hj\u00e4lpa barnen att utveckla ett kontextoberoende spr\u00e5k enligt Cummins\u00a0(i Gibbons, 2006).<\/p>\n<p>Gibbons, Pauline (2006). <i>St\u00e4rk spr\u00e5ket, st\u00e4rk l\u00e4randet: spr\u00e5k- och kunskapsutvecklande arbetss\u00e4tt f\u00f6r och med andraspr\u00e5kselever i klassrummet. <\/i>1. uppl.
